Jono Gibson

Managing Director

Managing Director Jono Gibson has dedicated more than a decade to the funeral profession, supporting families through loss with empathy, professionalism, and compassion. Born and raised in Whanganui, Jono began his funeral career in Auckland in 2013, employed by two of the city's most trusted funeral homes. Jono gained the national diploma in funeral directing qualification in 2019 to become a registered funeral director. Along the way he met his wife Ashleigh and the two were married in Cambridge in 2018, moving their lives to the community soon after. Jono has become a familiar and trusted presence in Cambridge, known for his ability to connect with people from all walks of life and guide them through the funeral process. For Jono, owning a funeral home has been a dream, a way to serve a community that values genuine connection. Gibson Funerals encompasses our values of innovative tradition, care and compassion and of course community.

Jono is a valued member of the Rotary club of Cambridge and the chamber of commerce. A dad of two to Monty and Goldie and iconic labradoodle- Charlie who is never far from his side. Jono’s vision has grown into a heartfelt family-driven mission: to be “Cambridge’s leading funeral home,” offering sincere, thoughtful care within a truly local setting.

Jacqui Ralph

Funeral Director

Jacqui found her calling when she joined a family-owned funeral home in 2006. She was taught the traditions and values of the funeral industry by dedicated caring professionals whom she admired and grew to emulate.

In early 2024, Jacqui made the move to Cambridge to become a locum Funeral Director. Through this change in direction, she has not only reconnected with her passion but expanded her knowledge into natural body care. For Jacqui, it has, and always will be, a privilege and honour to serve families at their time of need. Jacqui has gained her national diploma in funeral directing and is a registered funeral director.
